Our Mission
At Ecotherapy54 CIC, our mission is to reconnect individuals and communities with nature — delivering early access, preventative mental health support at a time when it’s never been more needed.
As a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, we provide accessible, community-based mental health support that combines the proven benefits of nature with professional expertise in counselling, mental health, neurodiversity coaching, and certified Forest Therapy practice.
We deliver evidence-based, nature-based therapy through green social prescriptions and structured programmes — offering a trusted, non-clinical alternative that helps reduce pressure on NHS services and supports the mental health of those most at risk.
Working in partnership with GPs, healthcare providers, schools, community organisations, and local businesses, we design flexible, person-centred support pathways that tackle key challenges facing society today — including youth mental health, rising anxiety, isolation, and workplace stress.
We offer targeted services for children, young people, adults, and the self-employed — helping people strengthen emotional resilience, improve wellbeing, and stay healthy both in and outside of work.
We are also committed to sustainable, eco-friendly practice that protects the green spaces we use — recognising the vital link between environmental and emotional health.
At every step, our goal is clear: to create a stronger, healthier, and more connected society — where individuals, families, and communities can access the mental health support they deserve, when and where they need it.

-

Alignment with NHS Goals
Ecotherapy54 CIC is directly aligned with the NHS Long Term Plan and the Government’s 25-Year Environment Plan. We deliver early intervention, preventative care, and holistic mental health support through nature-based therapy — helping individuals build resilience, reduce stress, and improve emotional wellbeing outside traditional clinical settings.
Supporting NHS Priorities:
-
Community-Based Mental Health Care:
We offer trauma-informed, evidence-based nature therapy in accessible outdoor spaces, supporting early intervention and reducing escalation into acute services. -
Green Social Prescribing:
Our structured nature sessions help reduce loneliness, anxiety, and depression, supporting link workers and PCNs with measurable, NHS-aligned outcomes. -
25-Year Environment Plan:
We actively use green and blue spaces for health, delivering nature-based programmes that strengthen mental wellbeing, reduce service pressure, and promote social cohesion. -
Sustainable, Preventative Health Care:
Our work builds emotional resilience and coping skills through nature, helping reduce demand on GP and primary care services. -
Outcome Tracking:
We measure impact using validated NHS tools (PHQ-9, GAD-7, WEMWBS, ONS-4), ensuring accountability and demonstrating clear health benefits.
