Welcome to Ecotherapy54 CIC — a place to breathe, reconnect, and feel supported.

If you’ve found your way here, you might be carrying stress, anxiety, low mood, or simply feeling disconnected — and we want you to know, you’re not alone.

At Ecotherapy54, we offer a fresh approach to mental health support. As a not-for-profit organisation, we provide professional, evidence-based support through nature. Whether you’re a young person navigating school life, a parent under pressure, or someone exploring why you respond to life the way you do, we’re here to help — gently, holistically, and without judgement.

Our sessions take place in calming outdoor settings, guided by counsellors, coaches, Forest Therapy practitioners, neurodiversity coaches, and wellbeing specialists. Together, we’ll help you rediscover a sense of peace, purpose, and possibility — all supported by the healing power of nature.

We also work closely with families and schools, helping children and young people with additional needs feel seen, heard, and supported in a way that feels safe and empowering.

Whoever you are, wherever you're at, you are welcome here.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can nature therapy help improve mental wellbeing?

Combining the healing power of nature with therapeutic support is a winning combination for mental and emotional wellbeing. Nature therapy helps reduce stress by lowering cortisol levels, heart rate, and blood pressure. Immersing yourself in natural environments activates the parasympathetic nervous system — the body’s rest-and-restore mode — which naturally calms the mind and body.

Regular time in nature, even in short bursts, has been shown to improve mood, enhance sleep, increase focus, and build emotional resilience. When this natural grounding is combined with evidence-based therapy, it creates the perfect environment for reflection, recovery, and lasting personal growth.

Do I need a referral from a GP or can I self-refer to your services?

You can self-refer anytime — no GP needed. We also accept referrals from GPs, schools, social prescribers, and other professionals.

What should I expect during a typical ecotherapy session?

Sessions take place in calming natural spaces and are tailored to your needs. It might involve walking, sitting, talking, or engaging in simple nature-based activities, all designed to help you feel grounded, safe, and supported.

“I’ve worked with therapists in a traditional setting indoors before, but it's helped me to truly see the value of being in nature — it’s been a refreshing and grounding experience.”
